About Desiree Desiree has been living in Marton for the past 10 years after making a lifestyle move from Wellington. She has been able to grow artistically during this time. Desiree began painting in 2003 but is now focused on printmaking, producing limited editions. Print runs rarely exceed 10 and prints are somewhat hybrid as she combines printmaking techniques, ink pens and watercolour together to add hue and interest. Mediums/Styles in 2011 Desiree found a passion for printmaking after completing 3 terms at Inverlochy House in Wellington. The various collagraphy, etching, woodcut and drypoint/intaglio techniques have encouraged a more spirited and delicate approach to her art work. Desiree has enjoyed using tetrapak and old cd's to use as plates, each of which have their challenges to work with, but turn out very interesting results.
